Rebecca Breckel grew up in Sydney, Australia and moved to New York to pursue filmmaking. Rebecca has worked on over 22 features and 200 commercials. Several of these films have been at Sundance: Justin Theroux's "Dedication," Paul Schneider's "Pretty Bird," and Alfredo Devilla's "Adrift in Manhattan," Katherine Dieckmann's "Motherhood," and John Krasinski's adaptation of David Foster Wallace's "Brief Interviews with Hideous Men." On these films Breckel has worked closely with actors Paul Giamatti, Billy Crudup, Uma Thurman, Bobby Cannavale, Amy Adams and Tom Wilkinson among others.

Rebecca has worked as a producer and post production supervisor on several independent features and documentaries. She has been involved closely in the formation of story, coverage and execution. Rebecca participated in the Sundance Filmmakers Lab 2007 and is currently writing a feature length screenplay called "Cricket."
